How do I switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius?
Using the control panel on the freezer
- Press and hold Lock for three seconds to unlock the control panel.
- Press and hold + and - on the control panel at the same time for three seconds to switch settings.
Using the App
- In the Edit Home menu, tap the Temperature Unit slider to switch settings.
Why isn't the freezer working?
- Make sure that the freezer is plugged in to a working outlet.
- Check the house fuse/circuit breaker box for a blown fuse or a tripped circuit breaker.
Why isn't the control panel working?
- To prevent accidental activation, the control panel automatically locks after 30 seconds of inactivity. Press and hold Lock for three seconds to unlock it.
Why can't the app find the freezer?
- Make sure that your freezer is connected to a working power outlet.
- Make sure that the blue light next to the Wi-Fi symbol is on. If it is off, go to How do I reset Wi-Fi on my freezer?
- Make sure that your network is working properly.
- Make sure that your router/modem is on and that you are within range of it.
- If your freezer is far away from your Wi-Fi router (such as in your basement or garage), you may need to install a Wi-Fi range extender halfway between your router and freezer.
- Your freezer can only connect to the 2.4GHz band on your router. If you have a 5GHz router, make sure that its 2.4GHz band is also active and visible.
Can I switch between fridge and freezer mode using the app?
This freezer has an advanced design feature that lets you change it from a freezer to a refrigerator. You can only use the control panel on the freezer to switch modes. You cannot use the Insignia Connect App to switch modes. The Freezer/Fridge light on the control panel indicates the current mode.
- Press and hold Lock for three seconds to unlock the control panel.
- Press and hold the Freezer/Fridge button for three seconds to change modes. The panel beeps and the indicator changes to the new mode.
Why did I get an alert that the door is open?
- If the door is open for more than five minutes, the door open alert is activated and an intermittent buzzer sounds. Close the door to turn off the alert.
- Check to make sure nothing is blocking the door that prevents it from closing. Also check to make sure the freezer is level. An unlevel freezer may prevent the door from closing properly.
Why did I get a high temperature alert?
The freezer is having trouble maintaining a cold temperature. You get this alert if the freezer temperature is over 18°F (-8°C) for 36 hours or the fridge temperature is over 59°F (15°C) for 36 hours. The LED on control panel turns on and a beep sounds. If the temperature returns to a normal range, the alert turns off. You can also press any button to turn it off. Here are some possible causes:
- The room is too warm. For example, the freezer is in a garage in the summer next to a car with a hot engine.
- The ventilation openings are blocked or dusty.
- There is too much frost buildup.
- There are door seal gaps.
Why did I get an alert that the temperature is "Out of Range?"
The freezer is having trouble maintaining its temperature. You get this alert if the internal temperature is at least 12.6°F (7°C) different from the temperature you set, 42 hours after you shut the door. If the temperature returns to a normal range, the alert turns off. You can also press any button to turn it off. Here are some possible causes:
- The room is too warm or cold. Adjust the room's temperature.
- The ventilation openings are blocked or dusty.
- There is too much frost build up.
- There are door seal gaps.
Why did I get a message that the freezer is out of the temperature range when I tried to adjust the temperature?
- You tried to select a temperature that is too high or too low for the current mode. The temperature range for Freezer Mode is 10°F ~ -11°F (-12°C ~ -24°C). The temperature range for Fridge Mode is 35°F ~ 46°F (2°C ~ 8°C).

How do I reset Wi-Fi on my freezer?

- Press and hold Lock for three seconds to unlock the control panel.
- Press and hold - and Lock at the same time until you hear a beep and see "0" on the control panel.
- Press + once. "AP" is displayed.
- In the app, tap Set Up Device, then follow the on-screen directions to complete setup.
How do I reset my freezer to factory default?
- Press and hold Lock for three seconds to unlock the control panel.
- Press the Lock and + buttons at the same time for three seconds to reset to factory defaults. The panel beeps and all of the indicators turn on for three seconds. If the compressor is running, it pauses for five minutes, then restarts.
