Which Insignia Smart Home products work with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri?

• Smart Plug: Works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant
• Smart Plug With Metering: Works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri
• In-Wall Switch: Works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri
• Wi-Fi Camera: Does not support voice control
• Wi-Fi Freezers: Does not support voice control

How many Smart Plugs or In-Wall Switches can I set up to work with voice control?

• You can set up as many devices as you own.
  Notes:
  • To control them with Alexa or Google Assistant, you must first set up all your devices in the Insignia CONNECT app.
  • Siri voice service requires setup with either the Insignia Connect app or the Apple Home app.

How do I control multiple devices at once?

Amazon Alexa

• You can define groups (such as "Bedroom" or "Living Room") in your Amazon Alexa app to control several devices at the same time. Click here for instructions.

Google Assistant

• You can define groups (such as "Bedroom" or "Living Room") in the Google Assistant or Google Home app to control several devices at the same time:
  • Control your smart devices with Google Home

Apple Siri

• You can create Scenes using the Apple Home app to control multiple devices together. Click here for instructions.

How do I disconnect voice control from Insignia Connect?

Amazon Alexa

1. Open your Amazon Alexa app.
2. Tap Menu > Skills > Your Skills.
3. Tap the Insignia Connect skill, then tap Disable Skill. Alexa will no longer control your Smart Plugs, but your Insignia Connect app will still be able to control your devices.

Google Assistant

1. On your phone, touch and hold the Home button.
2. At the top right, tap (options) > Menu > Settings > Home control.
3. In the "Devices" tab, tap (options) > Manage accounts.
4. Tap the account you want to disconnect > Disconnect account > Disconnect.

Apple Siri

1. On your iPhone, open Settings.
2. Scroll down and tap Siri, then tap the slider to turn it off.
   Note: This will disable Siri for all apps.

Can I control my devices with voice remotely?

• Yes, however the capabilities and methods vary among the different services. Please see the corresponding app for Amazon, Google, or Apple for more information.

Alexa voice control stopped working on my device, how do I enable it?

If you get an Alexa voice service error when you try to interact with your connected Insignia device, follow these steps. Your connected rooms and devices will be saved. These steps are only for the Insignia skill in the Amazon Alexa app.

1. Open the Amazon Alexa app.
2. In the menu, tap Skills & Games.
   
3. Tap Your Skills in the top right corner, then scroll down and tap Insignia Connect.
   
4. Tap DISABLE SKILL.
   
5. After the skill is disabled, tap ENABLE. You are redirected to a Best Buy login page.
   
6. Log in with your Best Buy username and password. After you sign in, you'll be able to control your connected devices with your voice.
